As a Fractional CFO at DESelect, you will play a crucial role in shaping the financial strategy and operations.
You will work closely with the CEO, ExCo and other stakeholders to ensure financial stability and compliance. We are poised for significant growth and seek a seasoned financial leader to join our team as a Fractional CFO.
This position is part-time and based out of Antwerp, Berchem.
Responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Budget Management: Assist in the development and monitoring of annual and quarterly budgets, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
- Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis to support decision-making, including running scenarios, trend analysis, and forecasting.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards, including tax requirements, GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), and internal policies.
- Define processes for and oversee AP, AR and cash management.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement in financial operations and implement efficient solutions.
- Review and approve annual TP (transfer pricing).
- Oversee Revenue Operations (RevOps): Lead the integration of financial strategy with revenue operations, ensuring alignment between sales, marketing, and customer success to optimize the entire revenue lifecycle. Drive data-driven decision-making and implement processes to improve forecasting, pipeline management, and overall revenue growth.
Requirements
- Higher degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
- Excellent written and verbal skills in Dutch and English
- Proven experience in finance or accounting roles, preferably in the SaaS industry (a minimum of 5 years preferred).
- Knowledge of SaaS metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Experience with Transfer Pricing (TP) is a plus
- Experience with doing a US Tax Return is a plus (do note that our main tax return happens in our Belgian entity)
- Knowledge of ‘Revenue Architecture’ (by Winning By Design) is a plus.
- You will take ownership of our Finance processes and systems, which may include migrating tools.
- Strong understanding of financial principles, regulations, and standards.
- Proficiency in financial software and tools, such as Exact, Google Sheets, and ERP systems.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and trends.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting and analysis.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration across teams.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
