Main tasks of job:

Provide technical consulting to customers and Sales Team
Assist Sales Team with translating business requirements into technical solutions
Delivery of proposed solutions to customers within project budget and timelines
Provide technical assistance to other members of technical staff as required
Provide mentoring to support team as required
Present and promote Vital I/O at every appropriate opportunity

Engineering:

Ensure the data center is at all times able to deliver services and is regularly reviewed
Ensure all data center hardware and software is updated and in compliance with vendor recommended best practices
To provision, monitor and maintain all equipment, meaning storage platform, compute platform, networking equipment, tools and services such as evault, veeam, vcenter.
Provide quality assurance on all SOWs and quotes with Engineering team before delivered back to Sales team
Ensure client deliverables are delivered on time, and as agreed within original statement of work.
Ensure all projects are well coordinated, managed to VIO process, with full documentation
Ensure customer satisfaction with sign-off on completion

Technical expertise in systems architecture, design and development

- Server and Desktop Virtualization
- Server Operating systems
- Storage
- Email Solutions
- Advanced Networking
- Technical
Competent in all Vital I/O product and service offerings with appropriate industry qualification
To enjoy working with customers and building relationships
Numerical accuracy
A positive attitude
Flexibility and quick thinking
Good knowledge about current industry best practice
Ability to package technical products and in demand services into commercially viable solutions and understand go to market strategies
Able to create Statement of Work and full documentation of what has been delivered
Able to identify and understand client's requirements
Good communication/organization skills and able to work as part of a team
Ability to work under pressure
Able to prioritize and use initiative

Qualifications:-

Minimum:

Industry Technical qualifications to a senior level
5+ years' technical engineering delivery experience
Full driving licence

Ideal:

BSc in Computer Science or Information Technology
Understanding of hardware and software development processes
Interest in programming and object orientated techniques
Pre-sales experience

Advantageous:

Masters in relevant subject
