Multi-site Dermatology Group Seeks Director of Training and Compliance
Optima Dermatology is recruiting a Director of Training and Compliance to join our Practice Support Center, based in Portsmouth, NH.
Position Details:
The Director of Training and Compliance is responsible developing and communicating appropriate standards to meet the requirements of all regulating entities (CLIA, DHHS, OIG, CMS, CAP) to remain compliant to practice our scope of services. The Director of Training and Compliance will take all necessary action under the compliance program to enforce compliance standards by means of auditing, training, mandating corrective action, and recommending necessary disciplinary actions. This role will report directly to the Chief Operating Officer.
Responsibilities:
Management:
- Work closely with operational managers in overseeing compliance requirements of our clinical team.
- Work closely with medical leadership in assisting in developing & training efficient patient workflow.
- Assist in developing materials to ensure adequate training of our clinical team.
- Provide leadership to department team members such as Compliance Manager, Administrative Educator and Clinical Educator.
Compliance:
- Develop, monitor, and evaluate Optima Dermatology’s Compliance Program and lab Quality Assurance program in accordance with state and federal regulations.
- Ensure all clinics have policies & procedures in place to meet lab compliance standards and regulations, to include CLIA and DHHS standards.
- Guiding preparation for all clinical inspections (CLIA, DHHS, OSHA, etc.)
- Ensure lab proficiency, competency testing and training meets regulatory standards.
- Provide oversight and guidance for clinical leaders, department leaders and Practice Managers on compliance matters.
- Develop and maintain a schedule for visiting clinics.
- Participate in the assessment and response of sentinel events and perform risk assessments on an ongoing basis.
- Serve as the company’s Chief Privacy and Compliance Officer.
Reporting:
- Serve as the main point of contact for annual MIPs reporting and training and collaborate with the MIPs consultant to ensure necessary workflows are in place.
- Generate frequent reports tracking progress of all areas of responsibility.
- Monitor and adhere to financial budgets of all areas of responsibility.
Qualifications:
- BSN in Nursing or a healthcare related field.
- Masters degree and or functional experience in healthcare, specifically dermatology, related field strongly preferred
- Risk Management experience strongly preferred
- Proven experience in reading and interpreting state regulations and developing required protocols.
- Experience in developing a training platform for personnel
- Solid understanding of reporting and budgeting procedures.
- Experience in basic financial analysis (cost-effectiveness, cost-benefit etc.)
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills with a problem-solving ability
