We’re looking for an experienced leader to oversee a segment of our SMB business in Australia & New Zealand. The SMB Sales Manager will help drive our go-to-market strategy, building sales programs and processes that will impact thousands of small businesses across the region.
Success in this position requires a strong ability to lead and inspire a team, sales and analytical skills to make data-driven decisions, and the ability to manage competing priorities in a highly dynamic team environment. While this role will need to learn and understand our entire business, it will focus on our fastest growing Direct business segment.
What you’ll do:
- Lead a high-performing team of Account Managers and Partner Managers to deliver quarterly revenue targets through effective planning, sales goal setting, and data analysis.
- Develop and deploy innovative sales programs that drive results for Pinterest advertisers and agencies.
- Implement strategies to scale revenue and streamline processes, leveraging robust sales operation experience to enhance team efficiency.
- Communicate the progress of initiatives to stakeholders across time zones in a timely and clear manner.
- Build cohesive cross-regional and cross-functional partnerships with peers and internal stakeholders, including product, sales operations, and marketing.
- Develop and execute go-to-market strategies to effectively penetrate direct sales channels and maximize revenue.
- Apply expertise in digital advertising and sales operations to optimize direct sales initiatives and enhance market presence.
- Motivate and develop sales talent, creating a positive culture of accountability.
- Manage and nurture the relationship with Pinterest’s vendor partner to ensure seamless collaboration.
What we’re looking for:
- 6+ years of professional experience in digital media sales, online advertising, or sales leadership.
- A data-driven leader with the ability to lead teams against aggressive goals.
- Demonstrated track record of leading and inspiring others.
- Experience in process management, operations management, and understanding how to grow and scale businesses.
- Ability to extract insights from data to inform strategic decisions and translate them into action plans.
- Comfortable working in a dynamic and rapidly changing environment.
- Experience working with outsourced vendors is a plus.
- Experience working with New Business Acquisition and/or Agencies is a plus.
- Fluent in Salesforce, Tableau, Excel, and other sales productivity software.

- We let the type of work you do guide the collaboration style. That means we're not always working in an office, but we continue to gather for key moments of collaboration and connection.
- This role will need to be in the office for in-person collaboration once to twice per week and therefore needs to be in a commutable distance from the Sydney office.
