Job Description

Title: Copywriter

FLSA Classification: Exempt

Department: Marketing 

Reports to: Art Director

Date: 8/2024

Salary: $75,000-$85,000 + bonus

 

Job Summary:

In your role as Copywriter at BeatBox you must be able to work in a fast-paced and high-energy environment. Experience working for another CPG brand and marketing agency is a must. You will be responsible for crafting engaging and persuasive content across various platforms. You will work closely with our creative team, including designers, strategists, and account managers, to develop and execute marketing campaigns that drive results.

As a Copywriter you will be tasked with:

  • Ad campaigns
  • Taglines
  • Press releases
  • Product brochures
  • Presentations
  • Website content
  • Conceptual development

You will assess creative briefs and translate them into compelling content that achieve the project goals. You will also proofing POS materials, design mockups, iterating and incorporating content feedback, polishing final details, and collaborate with all the company departments.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Content Creation: Develop compelling copy for a variety of marketing materials, including websites, social media, email campaigns, advertisements, brochures, and more.
  • Campaign Development: Collaborate with the creative team to brainstorm and execute innovative campaign ideas that align with client objectives.
  • Brand Voice: Maintain and develop the unique voice for BeatBox, ensuring consistency across all channels.
  • Research: Conduct research to understand the industry, target audiences, and competitors, applying insights to enhance content effectiveness.
  • Editing and Proofreading: Review and refine content to ensure clarity, accuracy, and grammatical correctness.
  • SEO Optimization: Incorporate SEO best practices into web content to improve search engine rankings and drive organic traffic.
  • Performance Tracking: Monitor and analyze the performance of content, making data-driven recommendations for improvement.

Required Skills/Abilities: 

  • Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
  • Creativity and ability to generate innovative ideas.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Familiarity with SEO best practices and digital marketing trends.
  • Proficiency in content management systems and marketing software (e.g., WordPress, HubSpot).
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, English, Journalism, or a related field.

Minimum of 5 years of experience as a copywriter in a marketing agency.

  • A strong portfolio showcasing a range of writing samples, including digital and print content.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
