POSITION OVERVIEW
We are seeking a UX/UI Designer who is not only passionate about creating intuitive, elegant designs but also excels at understanding and translating complex systems into seamless user experiences. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a design-first organization and collaborate with talented teams across the company to modernize our suite of products. A bonus if you have experience transforming legacy products into modern, user-friendly designs.

This individual contributor role will collaborate with Design, Marketing, Product Management, Engineering, and QA teams to deliver six distinct product lines. You will be responsible for driving the user experience design process across the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) for each product. The position is based in Denver, Colorado and requires onsite work. Candidates must have authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Quickly grasp the intricacies of our software products and workflows to design solutions that meet user needs.
  • Integral part of the redesign of established legacy products, transitioning them into cohesive, modern experiences.
  • Revise and enhance the user experience across all products, ensuring consistency and usability.
  • Conceptualize and design new features within individual products and for cross-product integrations.
  • Maintain and expand our design system in Figma, ensuring all developed user experiences align with it.
  • Identify opportunities to create unified experiences across our product suite.
  • Develop rough layouts, including art, copy arrangements, sizing, and style, that align with usability and aesthetic goals.
  • Work closely with internal teams, including Marketing and Product Management, from concept to project completion.
  • Develop and present design concepts and prototypes to gather feedback and achieve alignment.
  • Participate in live discussions and brainstorming sessions to develop immediate, actionable solutions to design challenges.
  • Collaborate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders, including technical and non-technical audiences, to ensure designs meet varied needs.
  • Performs other duties as requested by management.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalence work experience required.
  • 7+ years of experience in modernizing or redesigning legacy software products.
  • Strong ability to understand complex systems and translate them into user-friendly designs.
  • Expertise in managing and contributing to a collaborative design system like Figma.
  • Proven ability to ensure consistency across multiple product lines.
  • A passion for creating intuitive user experiences that solve real-world problems.
  • Comfort with live solutioning and adapting designs on the fly based on feedback.
  • Ability to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and audiences.
  • Proficiency in creating designs for web, mobile, and desktop platforms.
This position will remain open through January 31st, 2025, but may remain open longer until a qualified candidate is selected.
