We are seeking entry level to experienced fiber splicers to join our team. In this role, you will be assisting with splicing in new segments of our network, troubleshooting issues, and completing splicing for repairs.

We’re looking for top-tier talent and provide you with the tools and flexibility you need to thrive and deliver lasting impact.

What You'll Be Doing

Splicing, terminating, and documenting of fiber optic cables within the Loop network
Perform splicing on network expansion projects, as well as assist with troubleshooting and repair
Perform fiber testing with ODTRs
Labeling fiber cabinets, enclosures, etc. as splice work is being completed
Splice fiber optic cables either manually or by using tools
Build splice cases - complete grounding, bonding, isolation, slack storage and sealing
Prep and hang enclosures and splice in MSTs
Interpret and following network design plans to complete fiber splicing
Perform splice work following industry standards
Complete splicing work in splice trucks, data centers, and other locations as needed
Participate in the network design process by partnering with our design team
Perform network maintenance that requires splicing
Follow Loop safety policies and procedures
Operating vehicles such as splice trucks, bucket trucks, etc. to access the fiber
Performing off hours and weekend work when necessary in order to handle emergencies and lessen customer impact

Education and Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent is required.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Prior experience splicing highly desired
Ability to work in various weather conditions
Comfortable working at heights of up to 40 ft when necessary
Able to distinguish colors
General understanding of network/fiber design maps
Must be able to lift up to 80 pounds
A positive attitude, strong work ethic, a can do attitude
Minimal need for supervision
Ability to communicate effectively with management, other splicers, and our network construction and design teams
Ability to pass a drug screen and background test
Able to stand and/or sit for long periods of time
