Principal DevOps Engineer

Amartha is embarking on an exciting new journey and is in need of experienced engineers to work with senior management, existing engineers, and product in shaping the next wave of innovative product offerings, ensuring Amartha leapfrogs into the next phase of its journey!

Successful candidates will need strong communication skills as they will be actively involved in discussions and instrumental in bridging the gap between product and technology, as well as coaching, mentoring, and guiding junior engineers in best practices/solving technical challenges.

Job Description: As a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) you will combines software and system engineering to ensure critical systems reliability and uptime.

Responsibilities

• Be responsible for implementation, tuning, and ongoing administration of data layer and infrastructures.
• Manage availability, performance monitoring, and capacity planning for data and application layers.
• Improve the services in term of deployment, and operation.
• Support services before they go live through activities such as system design consulting, developing software platforms and frameworks, capacity planning, and launch reviews.
• Maintain services once they are live by measuring and monitoring availability, latency, and overall system health.

Requirements

• Experience in the fields of Computer Science or Software Engineering.
• Experience in cloud-native architecture and technologies.
• Experience with Google Cloud Platfrom (GCP).
• Experience in API gateways.
• Ability to debug, optimize code, and automate routine tasks.
• Systematic problem-solving approach
• Effective communication skills
• Expertise in designing, analyzing, and troubleshooting large-scale distributed systems

• Knowledge in RDBS systems and NoSQL databases.
