What You’ll Do

The Sr. Project Manager provides support for all aspects of the PMO, which includes communication, resource management, prioritization, governance, risk management, future planning / pipeline, team leadership, and quality control. The Sr. Project Manager effectively balances proactive enabling of project delivery with excellent governance following the Samsung guideline with the knowledge of Samsung culture.

The SR. Project Manager oversees all projects managed by other project managers and ensure projects are completed within budget and schedule throughout the project cycles from the initiation to closeout and provide overall assistance to PMO lead in the strategy, planning and coordination of projects, and administration.

Location: Onsite at our San Jose office/headquarters 5 days a week with an average of 5-10% travel per month

Principle Functions: 

Project Management

  • Define project objectives, project scope.
  • Predict resources needed to reach objectives and manage effectively.
  • Prepare a budget based on requirements and tracking costs to deliver project on budget.
  • Prepare a project charter, a business case and a detailed project plan.
  • Track project and provide regular reports on project status to PMO and key stakeholders. Manage and adjust for any changes in project scope, schedule and budget.
  • Manage contracts with vendors and suppliers.
  • Utilize industry best practices, techniques, and standards throughout entire project execution.
  • Prepare a closeout package at the end of the project and share Lessons learned and best practices.

 Monitoring and reporting to PMO

  • Oversee projects performing by other project managers.
  • Regularly monitor project status and report on progress, identifying any deviations from the plan and proposing corrective actions.

 PMO Administration Support

  • Develop and support PMO strategy.
  • Maintain & develop templates for Project Management Office.
  • Prepare necessary presentation materials for meetings and decision.
  • Train other PMs on process/ documentation.
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives, promoting efficiency and effectiveness in project management practices.
  • Conduct due diligence of regional office projects.

 Coordination and communication

  • Facilitate effective communication between team members, project managers, and stakeholders, ensuring all are informed about project progress and any potential issues.
  • Maintain a good working relationship with project vendors to enhance quality and timely delivery of supplies/equipment/work.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree and 15 years of experience from an accredited college or university in construction, engineering or a relevant field of study, or at least 10 years of relevant experience.
  • Proven working experience in project management.
  • Strong documentation, reporting, and business case building skills.
  • Strong familiarity with project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Experience managing projects through the full life cycle.
  • Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to complete projects according to outlined scope, budget, and timeline.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills. 
  • Proficient with computer software programs including Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, CAD, Bluebeam and MS project.
  • Work well under pressure and within time constraints in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to multi-task with attention to details.
  • Ability to build relationships with both internal and external customers.
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
  • Capable of working with ambiguity and change.

Individual pay rates depend on a number of factors—including the role’s function and location, as well as the individual’s knowledge, skills, experience, education, and training. Base Pay Range
$160,930$257,070 USD
