Script Consultant Coordinator

SUMMARY:  

Sony Pictures Animation is looking for a coordinator to assist a studio-contracted script consultant. The coordinator will also assist in day-to-day operations of her independent production and story consulting company, which includes both animated and live-action projects. Must be detail-oriented, discrete, and passionate about storytelling. This is an excellent position for an aspiring writer or producer.

Sony Pictures Animation is a pre-production animation studio based in Culver City, California, creating both feature animation and animated series with artists from around the world. RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Read and analyze scripts.
• Track submissions and consulting hours.
• Take detailed meeting notes.
• Coordinate meetings and travel.
• Manage phones and scheduling.
• Various administrative work.
• Handle other duties as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 3+ years professional experience in entertainment/creative environments.
• Excellent writing and proofreading skills.
• Proficiency in Word/Pages, Final Draft, Google Drive, and iCal.
• Superior capacity for organization.
• Innate sense of proactivity.
• A positive attitude!

The anticipated base salary for this position is $25/hour - $31/hour. This role qualifies for benefits pursuant to the collective bargaining agreement. The actual salary offered will depend on a variety of factors.
