What You'll Do:
- Ensure your team delivers features on time with a high degree of quality
- Maintain a fast and predictable speed of development and find opportunities to continually improve your internal team processes
- Recruit and retain talent on your team and others
- Work closely with Product Management to strategize how your team can deliver the best return on investment
- Maintain strong lines of communication with other teams to identify and resolve potential issues
- Coach and provide support to your team members to ensure they have everything needed to do their best work
- Collaborate and create growth plans for each member of your team
- Identify and be proactive with managing performance of team members
- Define and refine the SLIs and SLOs for your team’s services or product areas
- Manage your team’s on-call rotation and keep playbooks relevant and up to date
- Improve and be accountable for the product quality, security, and performance of your team
What You'll Bring:
- Can lead engineering discussions and make appropriate technical decisions to deliver high quality software to customers on time.
- Is an SME in at least one discipline or product area.
- Has mentored engineers with varying degrees of experience while ensuring their success.
- Has a reputation for being highly organized and can accomplish tasks independently.
- Demonstrates effective communication skills. You can explain complex technical implementations in layman’s terms.
- Can see the big picture while focusing on the details.
