Role Purpose
To maintain and continuously improve the security detection and response capabilities of Matillion. Ensuring that we are able to detect, contain and recover from security events as quickly and efficiently as possible.
What will you be doing
- Responding to security detections inline with Matillion’s incident management and response processes from detection right through to root cause analysis.
- Collaborating with internal stakeholders across the business to implement security best practices and improve our overall security posture.
- Implementing new detections for emerging threats by analysing threat intelligence, attack trends and industry best practices.
- Working amongst an exciting and energetic Security team with plenty of opportunities to work closely alongside AppSec, Governance, Risk and Compliance and Engineering peers.
What are we looking for
Technical/Role Specific
- Strong hands-on experience with cloud platforms, particularly AWS (experience with Azure/GCP would be beneficial).
- Proven ability to manage, optimise, and use security tools such as CNAPP, CSPM, EDR, SOAR, and SIEM.
- Proficient in scripting languages like Python and Bash for automating tasks and processes.
- Experience in building Infrastructure as Code, preferably using Terraform.
- An understanding of managing security within cloud-based containerised environments.
- Prior experience in responding to security alerts, detections and incidents.
- Working knowledge of common attack techniques such as MITRE ATT&CK.
