Roles & Responsibilities :

Contract review and negotiation (primarily vendor contracts - NDA, MSA, DPA, and related contracts)
Managing Legal operations for the global legal team
Risk management assignments for the legal department which would include representing the legal team in various audits
Drafting of various contract templates on need basis, working on playbooks and similar documents
Assisting cross functional departments like HR, Finance and other technical functions with legal and operational requests and queries.
Review and negotiation of India specific agreements (Vendor and internal)

Experience

3-4 years of experience in contract review, legal operations, and related legal functions in IT / Software industry as an in-house attorney (MUST have)
Experience in SaaS industry is an added advantage
For contract review - Prior experience in redlining corporate contracts like NDA, MSA, DPA, license agreements, HR related documentation. (MUST have)
Knowledge about data privacy is an added advantage (GDPR, CCPA and other privacy laws)
Hands-on experience with legal research
Experience in using CLM platforms or other legal tools is an added advantage

Skills & Competencies :

Strong ability to identify issues, inconsistencies, and gaps in legal agreements.
Ability to interpret complex legal documents and assess potential risks or liabilities.
Strong verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders.
Organizational skills to manage multiple contracts or projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.

Educational Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LLB) (MUST have)
