JOB PURPOSE

For our offices in Rotterdam and Amsterdam, we are looking for an aspiring digital marketing consultant who wants to learn from the best consultants in the country and beyond, during our SEO Traineeship that will start in September 2024.

As a future SEO trainee, we don’t expect you to already have hands-on SEO experience. We do however expect that you already developed a preference for SEO during your study or, for example, an internship. During the seven-month traineeship, we will help you kickstart your career in the digital marketing field. As an SEO trainee, you will be introduced into the world of organic search by our international, experienced, and highly skilled team. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Our traineeship is a combination of theory and practice. The first, theoretical part of the traineeship focuses on the three pillars of SEO: content, tech, and authority. But SEO is way more than that, so you will also be introduced to the world of data analysis (using a variety of tools), SEO strategies, and roadmaps. Since the goal of the traineeship is to shape you into a professional consultant, we also focus on improving your consultancy skills. Each training is rounded off by executing a practical internal assignment, so you will also learn by doing. Once you have a solid base of SEO knowledge, you will also be introduced to client work. This ‘learning by doing’ method is an important part of the traineeship.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • Have a Bachelor or Master degree in the direction of marketing;
  • Have an affinity with technology and marketing;
  • Have an excellent command of English and Dutch, spoken and written;
  • Experience with SEO is an advantage, but it’s not a must. It’s more important that you already developed a preference for SEO;
  • Are eager to learn, proactive, communicative, analytical, flexible and independent;
  • Can switch from serious to play in the blink of an eye;
  • Aim to start working as a Junior SEO Consultant at DEPT after completing the seven-month traineeship.
