DRE - Advance - Cooling - House/Pumps/Valves

Responsibilities:

• The Cooling System Release Engineer is responsible for the development and validation of the automotive cooling system components.
• The candidate will ensure the components meet performance objectives and will coordinate development with other functional areas such as BIW Underhood, Aero/Thermal, HVAC, and suppliers.
• Duties will include writing source packages, specifications, requirements, change notices and overall supplier management to meet program timing and deliverables.
• The candidate will maintain a component DVP&R, Candidate will also support pilot build process at the assembly plant for development and installation of Cooling System components.

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent) from an ABET accredited university.
• 3-5 years of experience in HVAC and duct design/development. Other related design experience (Engine cooling, Aero-Thermal) also a plus.
• Strong PC + MS Office skills required. Excellent written, verbal and listening skills along with strong interpersonal skills.
• Self-starter and motivated to produce results.
• Experience with Design Failure Mode & Effects Analysis (DFMEA).
• Experience with Design Verification Plan & Report (DVP&R).
• Basic thermodynamics knowledge.

• Experience in HVAC, PTC's, ducts and outlets are a plus.
• Experience using CAD software (NX, Catia, etc.)
• Experience with Design for Six Sigma (DFSS).
• Basic knowledge in Thermodynamics.
• Automotive assembly plant experience.
