Overview: We are looking for an experienced Industrial Engineer to join our team dedicated to the development of autonomous surface vessels. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in systems engineering and process optimization to enhance the efficiency and performance of our advanced maritime technologies. Responsibilities:
- Design and Optimization: Lead the design and optimization of systems and processes related to autonomous robotic vessels, ensuring maximum efficiency and performance.
- Factory Layout: Own the production floor layout. Design facilities to optimize manufacturing capability. Project manage facility changes and equipment installation.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, production, and R&D, to align project goals and implement effective solutions.
- Process Improvement: Analyze existing workflows and production processes, identifying areas for improvement to enhance operational efficiency and reliability.
- Documentation: Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, including process maps, standard operating procedures, and performance metrics.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to relevant regulatory standards and industry best practices throughout the development and operational processes.
- Data Analysis:Utilize data analytics and modeling techniques to evaluate system performance and inform decision-making.
- Problem Solving: Address complex engineering challenges with innovative solutions, utilizing a systematic approach to troubleshooting and process enhancement.
- Project Management: Define project scope, goals, and deliverables, managing resources and timelines to achieve successful outcomes.
- Technology Assessment: Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends, integrating new methodologies to improve product capabilities and processes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in industrial engineering, preferably within the robotics, maritime, or technology sectors.
- Strong knowledge of systems engineering principles, methodologies, and tools, with a focus on process optimization.
- History of facility layout and design. Designing facilities from scratch is a plus.
- Proficiency in data analysis and simulation software (e.g., Simul8, Arena, SQL, Power BI).
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively in fast-paced environments.
- Strong communication skills, capable of conveying complex technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Demonstrated project management experience, with a track record of successfully leading projects from initiation to completion.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
