The Work You'll Do:

Sovos provides a comprehensive global tax technology solution for VAT and SUT determination, e-invoicing, and filing. We enable enterprises to optimize their indirect tax management strategies, meet global demands, minimize integration costs, and accelerate adoption times. Through embedded integrations, open APIs, and prebuilt connectors, we ensure swift go-live processes for our customers.

Our projects range from small-scale implementations for customers in a few U.S. states to large-scale projects across multiple countries, either directly with our clients or in collaboration with their implementation partners or system integrators.

As the Principal Solutions Consultant, Invoicing, you will oversee Sovos tax technology implementations, including project management, requirements definition, solution design, system configuration, testing, knowledge transfer, and the creation of custom documentation. You will be responsible for delivering services and project deliverables that support the deployment of Sovos tax technology products. This role involves identifying and analyzing client implementation requirements, managing expectations, and providing guidance and recommendations throughout all phases of the implementation.

This position requires collaboration and relationship-building with client tax and IT staff, as well as third-party advisors and consulting resources involved in client engagements. Significant subject matter expertise in Sovos applications and industry best practices is essential. Additionally, you will identify and deliver additional tax process solutions and value-added services that contribute to Sovos' revenue and profit objectives.

More specifically you will:

• Expertise in implementation/consulting, customer service, and vendor practices.
• Knowledge of software development methodologies and implementation/testing techniques for Windows, legacy systems, and client-server database applications.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, work collaboratively in a team environment, and respond effectively to project and customer needs.
• Ability to adapt and function efficiently in a fast-paced, evolving environment while meeting deadlines.
• Strong analytical, presentation, troubleshooting, and design skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of ERP systems is a plus.
• Effective time management skills.
• Ability to manage job-related and personal stress effectively.
• Familiarity with the Sovos, Vertex, OneSource, or Avalara industry and marketplace.

What We Ask From You:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related discipline.
• Ten (10) or more years of experience in Sovos, Vertex, OneSource, or Avalara tax/technology implementations and project management.
• In-depth experience in tax applications, particularly with public accounting firms and/or Fortune 1000 companies in the area of transaction tax (e.g., multi-state/VAT).
• Alternatively, a combination of education and/or equivalent experience as listed above.
• Due to client contractual obligations, the successful candidate will be asked to clear a background check and drug test
