About the Role:
As a Business Development Associate, you are the first point of contact for small business owners interested in Wave’s Bookkeeping and Accounting Coaching services. You will uncover the needs of these business owners, and help them purchase the solutions that will be most effective for them.

Here's how you'll make an impact:

  • Owning your pipeline of inbound phone leads from small business owners across the United States and Canada. You maximize sales results by communicating effectively with these prospects, before, during and after the phone sales consultation.
  • Uncovering the needs of each small business owner that you speak with and to path them to the most relevant Wave Advisors service.
  • Building trust and showing value quickly through your knowledge of small business, accounting acumen, and strong phone presence.
  • Communicating effectively with clients over the phone and email, and with your coworkers through Slack and Zoom.
  • Leveraging our CRM to take ownership of - and report on- your sales targets and conversion rates.

You Thrive Here By Possessing the Following:

  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in sales or 2+ years in sales-adjacent customer-facing roles. 
  • Previous inside sales role experience is a strong asset.
  • Exceptional communication ability - with clients over the phone and email, and with your teammates through Slack and Zoom.
  • Demonstrated ambition, characterized by a passion for learning through proactive initiatives that yield outstanding results. A positive outlook and a desire for continuous growth and excellence in all tasks are evident.
  • Resourcefulness, contributing to the development of innovative solutions.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills are exhibited. Punctuality and accountability are maintained, with demonstrated ability in managing the sales pipeline.
  • Strong team collaboration skills.
