How you’ll make an impact
Working with internal stakeholders, develop the strategy, editorial and governance plan for the Xero blog. The strategy will help ensure that the blog is used to support global business priorities across the customer lifecycle.
You’ll have the opportunity to work closely with key internal stakeholders on building the vision and operating model for the blog to help elevate the prominence for content dissemination. We have the chance to make the blog a destination for our stakeholders to receive information.
You will build and manage the editorial calendar and have oversight and editorial authority for all blog content. In addition, you’ll manage the platform and ensure that we are using best in class technology to manage content effectively at scale.
What you’ll do
- Drive a compelling global blog strategy that supports improved engagement among potential and existing Xero customers
- As the blog editor, you’ll bring a strong understanding of narrative structure in different formats of content, including business news, case studies and operational updates
- Design a governance framework that is clear and well communicated across the business
- Create scalable procedures, measurement practices and templates
- Build and maintain an editorial calendar that is consistent with business priorities
- Be highly collaborative in developing the strategy and operating plan to maximize the value and impact of the blog
- Work with and influence stakeholders, encouraging alignment and collaboration
- Help to manage change across the business as the strategy and processes evolve
- Actively monitor trends and advise teams on how to elevate content on the blog

- Xero has a clear, compelling and “global first” blog strategy and operating model in place
- Blog governance is well defined and widely understood across Xero
- ROI is well defined and shows improvement with correlation to strategy implementation
- Teams adopt and use strategy for improved stakeholder outcomes
