PAY INFORMATION
$20.00 per hour
Non-exempt position (eligible for overtime when applicable under state law)


POSITION
We are looking for a Special Events Supervisor to join our team. The position will perform a wide range of administrative and operational activities for the department and/or managers and supervisors to facilitate the efficient operation of the organization. This position has more of a people orientation than a technical orientation. This position is integral to teamwork within the organization, and in satisfying both internal and external customers. The leadership style for this position must be friendly, pleasant, and tactful, while motivating and developing team members in a positive, enthusiastic way. This position must develop and maintain rapport and relationships with individuals and groups through outgoing, poised and persuasive [well documented] communication. Avoiding confrontation is key, but you may serve to mitigate conflict within the organization. Because the pace of the work is faster than average, the ability to learn quickly and thoroughly while continually recognizing and adapting to changing conditions is critical.

Essential Job Functions

  • Develop reports on material and personnel movements and various operational logistics problems.
  • Accurate and timely inputting of information into the proper scheduling software for billing and payroll purposes.
  • Send Shift Confirmations 24 hours prior to the scheduled shift to the appropriate officers and supervisors.
  • Document and follow up on all shift call offs and report weekly to the responsible Area Manager.
  • Create and maintain a 90-day events calendar and distribute to officers and staff on a weekly basis.
  • Communicate with all security officers and staff with any requested and or important information via phone calls, SMS messaging and email communication.
  • Manage and direct incoming phone calls to the proper departments.
  • Participate in various meetings, training and other exercises to set a positive example, provide constructive criticism and offer useful feedback on companywide management, leadership, training and business development.

Qualification Requirements

  • Provide credible references and I-9 Employment Eligibility Documentation (legal eligibility to work in the U.S.).
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Ability to perform job tasks in an extremely professional manner in a customer service driven industry.
  • Reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language.
  • Ability to pass a background check.
  • Basic knowledge and understanding of Microsoft Office.
  • Exemplary interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Organizational skills and extreme attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Positive attitude.
  • Keep an energetic and positive demeanor in any situation.
  • Punctuality, never late.
  • Time management skills with the proven ability to meet deadlines.
