Occupancy Specialist

We are seeking candidates for an Occupancy Specialist to join our team in Allston, MA. Working alongside the Occupancy Manager, you will be responsible for the recertifications of a mixed-income scattered-site housing portfolio. Your duties will include:

• Processing and sending reminder letters and certification packages out to all residents.
• Conducting recertification interview appointments with residents for both LIHTC and Section 8 programs.
• Processing income and asset 3rd party paperwork for residents and submitting income calculations to Occupancy Manager for review and approval as needed to finalize annual certifications.
• Processing rent increase and interim certifications in addition to annual certifications.
• Answering phones, providing front desk coverage, and other administrative duties as needed to support the management team. 

We are looking for someone with excellent communication skills and a strong customer service philosophy. Strong attention to detail will also be key to success in this role. 

• Previous experience with recertifications for Section 8 and/or LIHTC is required. 
• Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Yardi (or equivalent) is required. 
• Bilingual Spanish/English is preferred.
