Network Provisioner
Urbandale, IA (Onsite)The Network Provisioner plays a vital role in the team, managing the entry of Access Service Request information into various electronic bonding systems to order standard telephony circuits. This role involves retrieving Firm Order Commitments and Circuit Design Layout Records from the Local Exchange Carrier and ensuring the provisioning and maintenance of ordered circuits.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Obtain quotes from Local Exchange Carriers for pending circuit orders.
- Enter Access Service Request information in Local Exchange Carriers EBS.
- Order Services for POTS, DS1, DS3, SONET, Frame, E911, SS7, and IP Ethernet.
- Review Firm Order Commitments and Designed Circuit Layout Records for accuracy.
- Submit disconnection orders for TDM Circuits.
- Coordinate with Telcos to ensure correct facilities are ordered and able to meet due dates.
- Escalate orders that are at risk of not meeting Firm Order Commitment Dates.
- Provision all leased circuits within the ESITE Circuit Database.
- Provision all Microwave circuits and systems within the ESITE Circuit Database.
- Maintain database integrity within the ESITE Circuit Database consistently.
- Participate in Operations and Engineering Project Management calls as required.
- Issue MACD orders as needed to optimize the network.
- Review billing records post turn-up to ensure accuracy.
- Assist Network Planners with special projects, RFPs, and Master Agreements as necessary.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Associates Degree in Computer Science or IT, or equivalent experience required.
- 3-5 years of experience as a Network Provisioner with a wireless company, LEC, or LD carrier.
- Knowledge of Telcordia standardized NC/NCI/SECNCI Codes is essential.
- Working knowledge and experience using Remedy is a plus.
- Good organizational skills, along with written and verbal communication skills, are required.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-changing environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a desire and willingness to join cross-functional teams.
