Key Responsibilities
- Rapidly design, develop, and test high-reliability printed circuit board/circuit card assemblies (PCBs/CCAs) for the APEX 1.0 Spacecraft.
- Generate circuit board requirements, ICDs, test plans/procedures, and manuals for spacecraft avionics.
- Evaluate and develop Avionics systems level requirements.
- Drive circuit board component selection for avionics CCAs.
- Collaborate with other spacecraft subsystem teams throughout the development lifecycle, such as software, mechanical, thermal, propulsion, etc.
- Create and manage supplier procurement specs and statements of work.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in printed circuit board/circuit card assembly (PCB/CCA) development.
- BS in electrical engineering or computer engineering. We will consider an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience.
- Experience with integrating electronics hardware and embedded software, along with subsequent troubleshooting.
- Experience developing test campaigns and documentation to validate PCBA/CCA/PWA requirements and performance.
- Proven track record of leading PCB/CCA development from concept through requirements creation, component selection, schematic design, PCB layout, CCA procurement, and testing.
- Familiarity with project management tools, such as Atlassian Confluence and Jira.
- Familiarity with version control systems, particularly git.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in electronics circuit design for space environments, with emphasis on component selection for radiation tolerance
- Experience with derating analysis, particularly with reference to EEE-INST-002
- Experience in one or more of the following:
- Mixed signal design, particularly designs including FPGA devices and analog signal sense/conditioning.
- DC/DC converter design, particularly isolated topologies.
- High voltage devices, lithium ion batteries, or power distribution optimization.
- Familiarity with common industry standards for spacecraft design and integration; including, but not limited to: NASA-STD-8739.4, NASA-HDBK-4001, NASA-STD-4003, SMC-S-010, & SMC-S-016
- Experience with developing schematics and circuit board layouts using Altium software.

- Ability to work in a fast-paced design and development environment
- Schedule may vary depending on program development needs; flexibility required
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required
Compensation and Benefits
- Competitive salary based upon experience - $115,000-$135,000. The salary posted is a targeted range for budget of position. Base compensation can be negotiated and will be commensurate with experience, skills, education, and training.
