Credentialing Specialist (Remote)

Job Description:

• Signing up doctors/ physicians to an insurance, making them in network;
• Responsible in facilitating and assisting with applicable payers relative to changes of information for facility credentialing and enrollment;
• Creates and updates provider information in the credentialing system to ensure that credentials are completed within a timely manner and at a high level of accuracy;
• Maintains admission guidelines by inputting and/or, updating admission information based on policies and procedures;
• Obtains applicant information by requesting medical information and keeping it confidential;

Job Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year of experience in credentialing or related experience;
• Experienced in verifying insurance claims in behalf of the provider;
• Previous billing experience is an added advantage;
• Adept with procedures in a nursing home or hospital setting;
• Must have their own PC/laptop, noise cancelling headset, fast speed internet and a quiet work environment;
• Proficient with Microsoft Office or Google Suite.
