Founded in 1988, the Beal Bank family of companies is headquartered in Dallas, Texas, and comprises one of the largest private financial institutions in the United States. CLMG was formed in 2009 as an in-house servicer of commercial loans purchased and originated by various Beal Bank entities. The Post-Closing Specialist/Commercial Liaison will work within the CLMG business.
Summary:
We seek a Title Curer, Commercial Closer or Paralegal. This position requires complete understanding and knowledge of loan documentation associated with residential and commercial loan transactions. The position requires someone who is very detailed, very organized, self motivated as well as someone who has the ability to work independently or with a group, in a fast paced environment, to accomplish and meet goals and deadlines.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Loan and document review for accurate preparation of assignments and release of liens for all forms of collateral to include but not limited to; Mortgages, Deed of Trust, Automobiles, Mobile Homes, Life Insurance Policies, UCCs, Assignment of Leases and Rents, boats and ships. The review of such assignments and release of liens for accuracy and compliance with state and county requirements such as time frames for completion, fees, margins, cover pages, parcel id's and legal descriptions. The ability to review a loan file and determine the current collateral, taking into consideration any modifications, substitutions of collateral and/or partial release(s) is a must. Responsibilities may also include the coordinating of escrow closings and related communication with Portfolio Managers and Attorneys, in addition to the ability to review and interpret the written loan committee approval authorizing the preparation of documentation related to settlements and partial releases as well as the aforementioned escrow closings. The position also requires the accurate data entry of collateral document details within a department database; submission of requests for payment via wire or check to various vendors Additionally this position may require department administrative duties, such as submitting check and wire requests for payment to vendors. The position may also include assisting and/or leading projects related to audits, exams, pledging and asset or loan sales. The position demands flexibility and understanding that the daily focus, of any of the duties described above, may differ from day to day.
Job Requirements
Qualifications (Education, Computer Skills, Certifications, Etc.):
Thorough knowledge/understanding of commercial and single family loan documents, experience in document preparation such as assignments of mortgage, UCC's as well as the assignment/transfer of Life Insurance Policies, automobiles, mobile homes, and the release/satisfaction documents of same. Previous experience and/or knowledge submitting documents for recording in various counties and states. Strong organizational skills and the ability to review title policies, title searches and determine collateral and lien position in addition to the ability to be resourceful and to independently conduct research as needed. Technical knowledge of general business machines, such as computer, copier, and scanner is required as well as exceptional written and verbal language skills. Paralegal certification preferred.
