Description:

Required Skills:

Bachelor's Degree in a related area.
5+ years of development experience in the IT industry.
3+ years experience in Hadoop required.
At least 1 year of hands-on experience in Spark programming, especially Spark SQL.
Ability to develop both batch and real-time applications on the Hadoop platform.
Skilled in designing and developing non-trivial ETL processes within Hadoop using tools such as Hive and Sqoop.
Experience with NoSQL technologies (Accumulo/ HBase) and data governance/ data quality in Hadoop.
Knowledge of Agile/ Scrum, Kafka, SQL and Java.
Data Warehousing experience is a plus.
Understands the importance of tracking data lineage and providing trusted data to multiple discerning consumers.
Experience creating and maintaining pipelines of data with well documented lineage.
Solid data modeling and information classification expertise at the enterprise level.
Ability to assess rapidly changing technologies and apply them to business needs.
Excellent analytical and technical skills; proven planning, leadership and organizational skills.
Demonstrated ability to appreciate and engage in both big-picture strategic activities and detail-oriented tactical activities.
