About Luxfer Magtech:Luxfer Magtech specializes in developing, manufacturing, and supplying a broad range of products that safeguard and protect, from flameless ration heaters that give our U.S. Military a hot meal, innovative chemical response kits designed to detect and decontaminate chemical warfare agents, to nutritious hot food and beverage options for militaries and first responders.Position Purpose:The Site Head of Human Resources leads and drives all HR-related functions in support of the company’s strategic objectives. Ensure compliance with federal/state laws and regulations in addition to the organization’s policies and procedures. Main Responsibilities:- Manage the overall HR function and provide HR leadership
- Develop and implement HR strategy, policies, and best practices ensuring all policies and procedures are current and meet legal requirements
- Build a talent strategy in partnership with stakeholders to cultivate a diverse leadership team and foster a collaborative team environment within the facility
- Work closely with the leadership team to provide coaching on a variety of HR topics including talent development, retention, performance management, employee relations, policy interpretation and conflict resolution
- Champion culture change and drive initiatives to promote company culture
- Encourage and lead in open communication with the organization
- Serve as advisor to all directors, advisors, and managers about HR issues
- Oversee the recruitment process of all operational and operational support employees from position authorization through onboarding
- Analyze, evaluate, update incentive and compensation plan regulatory to meet current business needs and retain workforce
- Facilitate performance management review process
- Oversee the analysis, maintenance, and communication of records required by Federal and State laws or local governing bodies
- Provide input to the budget process in relation to work force planning, cost of employment, training and employee relations
- Lead an annual review of HR policy and practice to ensure legal compliance
Education and/or Experience:- Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field required
- 10 years of progressive experience in Human Resources
- 5+ years leading HR teams
- PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP highly preferred
- Previous experience working in a manufacturing business preferred
- Experience with ADP beneficial
- Highly self-motivated and self-directed
- A position attitude and a “roll up your sleeves” mentality to get the job done
- Excellent people skills – ability to build positive relationships at all levels of the organization
- Proven leadership abilities
- Conflict resolution and negotiation skills
- Excellent Microsoft Excel skills and demonstrated proficiency in MS office
