Hire Resolve is partnering with a leading engineering company in Gauteng and is currently seeking a skilled Dairy Farm Manager to join their team. As a Dairy Farm Manager, you will be responsible for the overall management and operation of a dairy farm. Responsibilities:
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the dairy farm, including animal care, feeding, and milking
- Oversee and coordinate breeding and calving programs
- Monitor herd health and implement health protocols
- Manage herd records and data management systems
- Implement and maintain strict biosecurity and health and safety practices
- Supervise and manage farm staff, including hiring, training, and performance evaluation
- Manage farm budgets, expenses, and financial record-keeping
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and industry standards
- Stay updated with the latest advancements and best practices in dairy farming
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Dairy Farm Manager
- Degree or diploma in Agriculture or related field
- Strong knowledge of dairy farming practices and herd management
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Experience in managing farm budgets and financial record-keeping
- Ability to work well under pressure and make sound decisions
- Attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities
- Ability to operate and maintain farm machinery
- Valid driver's license
