As part of the Songwriter & Publisher Partnerships team within the Music Team at Spotify, you will develop, build, and maintain Spotify’s key relationships with the songwriter and publishing industry globally. You will develop industry leading tools and build innovative opportunities and global campaigns for partners. The work will involve close collaboration with many of Spotify’s key cross-functional teams including Label Partnerships, Artist Partnerships, Editorial, Music Marketing, Product, Licensing, Legal, Product and more. The Songwriter & Publisher Partnerships Lead will deepen Spotify’s relationship with the songwriter community by implementing innovative strategy and executing impactful opportunities for songwriter and publishers on and off-platform!
What You’ll Do
- Educate and advocate on behalf of Spotify to songwriters, publishers, societies and the publishing community.
- Develop creative services and tools for Spotify to provide to publishing companies & songwriters.
- Provide business strategy, framework, guidance and insight to different areas of Spotify’s publishing program.
- Optimize existing product initiatives and support new areas of exploration in publishing.
- Deliver world-leading songwriter-focused opportunities
- Maintain, develop and grow Spotify’s partnerships with songwriters, publishers and industry bodies.
- Communicate across internal partners on behalf of songwriters, publishers, societies and other industry bodies to improve the value and performance of these partnerships
- Manage key relationships to maintain active dialogue with partners and provide strategic frameworks for partnerships
- Work cross-functionally with Marketplace/R&D, Artist & Label Partnerships, Licensing, Legal, Editorial, Marketing, and Product.
Who You Are
- You have an extensive network of contacts in the publishing & songwriting worlds with proven ability to build and maintain partnerships and effectively manage relationships with senior executives.
- You have deep knowledge of digital music and streaming; key partners, business models, marketplace, competitors, and creative opportunities.
- You have a deep understanding of music publishing, from creative development to digital music rights and copyright admin.
- You are experienced at working across different cultures and time zones.
- An optimistic self-starter with an entrepreneurial attitude and knack for problem solving.
- You’re highly collaborative and comfortable working with cross-functional teams across a large distributed global music and technology organization.
- You are a confident and articulate presenter, both to small and large audiences.
- You have strong personal organization and project management skills with the ability to deliver on tight deadlines
- Comfortable working with product and engineering teams.
- Thrive in fast-paced, agile work environments and are able to easily adapt and learn new skill sets as circumstances require.
- An open, transparent and clear communicator, with a knack for expressing ideas and insights to a range of stakeholders, and for turning around crisp presentations of your work.

- This role will be based onsite in our Nashville office
The United States base range for this position is $113,750 to $162,500, plus equity. The benefits available for this position include health insurance, six month paid parental leave, 401(k) retirement plan, monthly meal allowance, 23 paid days off, 13 paid flexible holidays, paid sick leave. These ranges may be modified in the future.
