Traveling Piercer

Description: 

The Traveling Piercer will provide piercing coverage support across the fleet, as needed. You will be the  ultimate ambassador of the brand by building and driving every aspect of the client’s experience across  our fleet. You will take on both short-term (e.g. a weekend) and long-term (e.g. 3 month) piercing  assignments and seamlessly adapt to new teams and environments. During downtime between  coverage assignments, you will support your home studio or cluster market.  

Reporting Structure: 

• Direct Reporting Manager: Your home-base Studio Manager. 
• Dotted-Line Reporting: 

○ Senior Piercing Educator: Will assign and oversee your travel assignments. ○ Studio Manager of Assigned Location: Will manage your day-to-day responsibilities  during each specific assignment. 

Salary: $34.65/hour, plus tips

○ Delivers a smooth piercing at a perpendicular angle with a gentle transition and has the  ability to expertly troubleshoot in the procedure  

○ Serves as a brand ambassador: educates clients on the unique Studs’ experience in the  Piercing Room and Earbar™ through our selling cycle  

○ Delivers confident, clear, and professional communication with clients during their entire  Studs’ experience  

○ Identifies and escalates client feedback to improve the overall client experience 

OPERATIONS

○ Leverages Studs’ policies and resources in decision making and recommendations  ○ Undergo additional training and certification to be able to pierce in complex markets, as  needed 

○ Balances analysis, experience, and integrity when making decisions for the overall  business 

• Optimizes Work Processes  

○ Be well versed in piercing operating procedures and regulations to ensure client  experience and work safety standards are met 

○ Adapt to changing regulations and compliance requirements by market 

○ Shows consistent and detailed record keeping including all maintenance, sterilized  inventory and tools 

○ Aids in directive execution to successfully meet deadlines

Requirements: 

• At least 12 months experience as a Piercer at Studs (excluding apprenticeship) or 6 months as a piercer at Studs (excluding apprenticeship), plus 6  months of previous piercer experience 
• Up to 80% travel required, including extended stays in markets that need piercing coverage ● Availability: 40 hours per week across five shifts, inclusive of weekdays and weekends based on  the needs of the business 
• Must be able to stand for 8+ hour shifts 
• Must pierce a minimum 18 appointments a day 
• Must be able to visually inspect ear anatomy to execute advanced piercings  ● Must be able to deliver piercings with a steady hand 
• Must be able to lift 20 lbs 
• Must be able to handle chemicals safely
