Center for Life Management (CLM) provides Southern New Hampshire's most comprehensive array of outpatient mental healthcare. We offer innovative and evidence-based services that enhance the health and well-being of individuals and families. We partner with local and state-wide organizations to achieve our mission and together build stronger communities and greater awareness for whole health and wellness. Our multi-disciplined treatment team works with individuals ages 3 – 21 who experience mental illness and/or serious emotional difficulties. The Child and Adolescent Therapist provides outpatient clinical services including diagnostic assessment, treatment planning, crisis management, individual therapy, family therapy, and group therapy. This is a full time, 40 hour per week position.
Major Functional Areas and Description of Duties
- Provide individual diagnostic assessment to determine client’s strengths, needs, resources, and objectives;
- Formulate treatment plans specifying presenting problems, objectives, interventions, and desired outcomes;
- Complete assessments for eligibility determination for State funded services
- Provide individual, family, and group therapy in the office and/or remote via telehealth;
- Provide crisis intervention when clients experience acute exacerbation of symptoms to ensure their safety within the home and/or community;
- Provide timely documentation on each service delivered;
- Work collaboratively with other treatment team members, natural supports, and external providers to ensure a wrap-around family systems approach is provided to the client;
- Provide set hours of billable service each week (eligible for incentive pay upon exceeding productivity expectation);
- Serve on appropriate committees, both internal and external, as determined by supervisor;
- Function professionally and in a manner that protects the integrity, confidentiality and rights of all patients;
- Execute all required services and documentation in accordance with agency policies and federal/state standards;
- Maintain professional memberships, licenses, accreditation, certifications, etc.;
- Represent CLM in a professional and appropriate manner in all settings;
- Perform all other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications and Skills
- Master’s degree in mental health field (Social Work, Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Counseling) or related field (Education with CAGS, or Clinical Psychology) required;
- LISCW, LCMHC or LMFT preferred;
- Experience working with co-occurring disorders preferred;
- Ability to exercise sound clinical judgment in routine, urgent, and emergent clinical situations;
- Ability to actively engage with children and conduct interactive play within a therapeutic setting;
- Proficient computer skills, specifically with all Microsoft office applications;
- Ability to document effectively and efficiently in course of clinical work;
- Ability to navigate an electronic health record;
- Ability and desire to work as part of a clinical team while also able to be self-directed and motivated with minimal supervision;
- Ability to acquire and effectively practice new clinical skills as needed according to evolving agency needs/services;
- Effective communication skills, organizational skills, and ability to multi-task.
Physical Demands and Working Conditions
A majority of the work will be in the office and/or remote via telehealth. Manual dexterity is needed to use computers. The ability to sit for extended periods of time is required. Reliable internet access is required.
