Quandela is a European scale up that provides photonic quantum computers that are modular, scalable, energy-efficient and accessible both on the cloud and on premise.
Our team of 100 employees specializes in the development of both software and hardware solutions for a variety of quantum applications. We offer a wide range of services, from developing the most efficient and brightest single photons sources, to creating algorithms for quantum computers and providing cloud quantum computing solutions.
Quandela plays a pivotal role as a strategic partner in the quantum transformation of industrial sectors such as energy, finance, pharmaceuticals, and transportation. Furthermore, we are esteemed collaborators within the academic and research community.
Responsibilities
You will participate in the development of Quandela's single-photon sources.
The team works with quantum dots in micropillar cavities and you will be responsible for a part of the fabrication processes and improving the process to optimize the device's performance.
Your activities include the development and optimization of complex optical systems for confocal and widefield imaging techniques, and instrument communications for automation of the setup to improve the productivity of this process. The work involves high-precision positioning of individual quantum dots (QD), QD's spectroscopy, laser lithography, cryogenic operation, python controls of automation, data storage/analysis and basic cleanroom experience which will be integrated in Quandela's production line.
Your results will also influence the research strategy for next-generation devices.
Requirements
Highly skilled in experimental quantum optics and have a strong interest in the field of quantum emitters
