The Network Services team at Wayfair focuses on providing core transport (wired and wireless) and security services to all of our customers both internal and external. What You'll Do

• Participate in design discussions with other Technical Leads, Network Security and Employee Technology (ET) Leadership
• Assist in driving the automation roadmap and directly deploy new automation solutions by writing infra-as-code automation functionality using Ansible and Python.
• Review, design and implement infrastructure changes to enhance reliability, increase capability and ensure maximum availability of network infrastructure
• Monitor network stability by modifying network infrastructure in response to application changes and ensuring the network complies with service level and licensing agreements
• Lead performance, security monitoring and documentation of relevant network segments to ensure data integrity
• Install, configure and maintain network services, equipment and devices
• Implement, support and manage digital workplace technologies.
• Resolve complex technical issues by troubleshooting escalated network incidents, collaborating with IT key stakeholders, socializing best practices and providing recommendations for implementation strategy
• Maintain operational strength of network services by contributing to capacity planning, resource management and performance enhancement activities
• Mentor junior and senior level associates by sharing expertise, collaborating on complex questions and offering guidance to minimize administrative error
• Assist in managing budgeted resources by anticipating expenditures, accurately forecasting resource needs/costs and properly accounting for expenses to meet requirements and achieve fiscal responsibility

What You'll Need

• Associate’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience
• Extensive experience in network engineering with increasing levels of responsibility over your career
• Experience using automation to drive continuous improvement
• Ability to quickly learn, implement and utilize new technologies.
• Analytical and problem solving. Combines and organizes information into meaningful patterns; identifies underlying relationships, causes and effects; and combines pieces of information to form conclusions or general rules
• Strong interpersonal skills. Ability to work across business lines at senior levels to influence and effect change to achieve common goals.

• Organizing and prioritizing. can effectively address projects, requests and other competing priorities. 
• Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or equivalent proven experience
• Expert level knowledge of multi-protocol data network, routing and routed protocols
• Expert level knowledge of WAN, LAN and Wireless technologies
• Advanced level knowledge of MS Azure, Palo Alto and Automation Languages (Python, Ansible, etc)
• Core tech stack includes : Dell PowerVault ME5 Series, Papercut, VMWare vCenter, Exacqvision, Postfix, Ansible Automation Platform, Passwordstate, Windows Server Patching, Dell OpenManage, Cisco Hyperflex, Proofpoint, HylaFax, License Servers, Actifio Backups, Teradici Cloud Access Connector
