Senior System Support Analyst

The IBM – Resource on Demand Team is seeking a Senior System Support Analyst for a contract opportunity in the Ottawa area .
This role is a Hybrid role  and on site requirements will be determined



Mandatory Requirements:

• Canadian Federal Government Security Clearance – Secret ( Level II)
• Post‑secondary educational program in Computer Science, Information Technology or Information Management
• Ten (10) years experience in an Information Management (IM) or Information Technology ( IT ) role.
• Minimum of eighteen (18) months continuous experience leading a team in the installation , integration, configuration and maintenance of Citrix XenApp 6 or later
• Thirty-six (36) months experience in integrating two (2) or more information system components using HL7 message protocols.
• Thirty-six (36) months experience on one project in the implementation or operation and maintenance of information system security architectures, which include all of the following:
  • Security Information and Event Management (SIEM),
  • Citrix Thin-Client architecture and
  • Public Key Infrastructure (PKI)
• Thirty-six (36) months experience in information system trouble shooting, which must include all of the following activities
  • Documented Diagnosis,
  • Documented Problem Analysis, and
  • Documented Recommendations
• Demonstrated experience in system security, that includes all of the following activities;
  • Monitoring performance,
  • Identifying operational deficiencies,
  • Improving system security and performance
• Demonstrated experience in the installation, integration, configuration and maintenance of Citrix XenApp 6 or later. This experience must include:
  • VMWare and LPAR , hosting Windows servers (2008 or later) and AIX servers (Version 7 or later) using VPNs and firewalls
• Demonstrated experience in system backup recovery and disaster recovery architecture, that includes all of the following activities;
  • Testing 
  • Implementation, and
  • Operation and Maintenance 
• Demonstrated experience in configuring and managing all of the following Security areas;
  • IT system security (which includes Network security and Application security),
  • Endpoint Protection software
  • Multi-factor authentication
  • Firewalls and
  • Virtual Private Networks
