The Opportunity:
OKX is seeking a Senior Compliance Manager to join the Australia Compliance team based in Sydney. In this newly created role, you will support the team in providing compliance advice, assessing compliance risks and identifying and resolving compliance issues to ensure that our digital currency exchange is compliant with regulatory and industry requirements.
What you will be doing:

Maintain the compliance program for our Australian digital currency exchange (DCE).

Ensure that the DCE is compliant with relevant regulatory registrations / licensing requirements, including reporting obligations.

Advise on AML/CTF and Sanctions regulatory requirements and perform as back-up to our Australian MLRO.

Support AML investigations and ensure the timely submission of Suspicious Matter Reports (SMRs) to AUSTRAC.

Assess enhanced due diligence reviews performed on high risk customer relationships.

Assist with the resolution of fraud and scam investigations.

Investigate, track and advise on the handling of customer complaints, compliance incidents and potential breaches.

Develop and deliver compliance training to employees, including educational resources.

Develop and maintain compliance policies, procedures and reporting designed to ensure that regulatory requirements and obligations are met.

Assist with the compliance monitoring program and the identification of potential risks and implementation of appropriate and effective compliance controls.

Monitor changes in laws, regulations and standards. Advise and report on the impact on the compliance program, DCE and business.
What we are looking for in you:

Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Law, or a related field.

At least 5 years professional experience working in an Australian financial crime compliance advisory role in a cryptocurrency exchange and/or financial services.

Solid understanding of compliance requirements that apply to a digital currency exchange.

Strong attention to detail and excellent written and verbal communications skills.

Ability to interpret regulations and advise on meeting regulatory requirements and industry standards.

Self-starter who is comfortable working in a fast-paced and start-up environment.

Critical thinker and able to work independently.
Nice to have:

Acted as a MLRO.

Working knowledge of AML/CTF or Sanctions systems specifications.

Conducted compliance risk assessments of cryptocurrency tokens.
-
Certified by a relevant professional body, such as ACAMS.
