Position: Tax Manager
Location: Buford, Georgia
Salary Range: $135,000 – $140,000

Job Description:
Our client is seeking an experienced and driven Tax Manager. The ideal candidate will lead the tax department, ensuring compliance with all applicable tax regulations and providing strategic tax planning to support clients’ financial goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the preparation and review of federal, state, and local tax returns.
  • Develop and implement tax strategies to minimize liabilities and ensure compliance.
  • Stay updated on changes in tax laws, advising management and clients on their impact.
  • Coordinate and manage tax audits, providing necessary documentation and representation.
  • Supervise and mentor junior tax staff, fostering growth and professional development.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure accuracy in financial reporting.
  • Prepare and present detailed tax reports to leadership and clients.

Qualifications:

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; Master’s in Taxation preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in tax compliance and consulting.
  • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws.
  • Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven leadership experience managing a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
