Comprehensive Position Profile
The board has stated a preference for the CEO to reside in or near the greater Seattle, WA area with the option to work from home as circumstances allow.
The Organization
Founded in 1997 by the creator of Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Dr. Marsha Linehan, Behavioral Tech Institute's (BTECH) mission is to bring evidence-based treatment to every community worldwide, when, where, and how they need it. BTECH empowers people to experience lives worth living by cultivating collaborative partnerships to implement evidence-based interventions. DBT is an evidence-based, effective treatment designed for high-risk people who are seriously dysregulated and struggling to survive.
As a global Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) community leader, BTECH is committed to making effective treatment for complex and severe mental disorders easier to access by increasing the number of trained professionals who can deliver DBT. BTECH does this by providing fidelity-driven training to large healthcare systems, hospitals, agencies, treatment centers, and individuals through in-person and online courses globally.
BTECH has an active and working board of directors, with thirteen (13) committed, skilled, and self-organized staff, over fifty (50) contract trainers, and an annual budget of ~$ 2.5 M.
BTECH seeks an innovative, collaborative, and visionary leader to serve as the next CEO. The ability to think broadly and understand the nuances of delivering and funding fidelity driven DBT training and implementation is critical. The demand for DBT is high and rising, and there are not nearly enough therapists to meet this demand.
DBT is currently used by thousands of practitioners in dozens of countries impacting millions of people every year. This is an opportunity to expand world-class, evidence-based behavioral health treatments globally, enabling those without hope to live full lives.
