We are seeking a highly motivated Business Development Manager to continue powering our rapid growth. Reporting to the Director of Strategy and Business Development, the ideal candidate will be a strong generalist and a key player in building our business through finding and executing on new revenue and strategic opportunities.
Key Responsibilities (Time allocation in brackets):
Business Development (80%):
- Identify and create new business opportunities, with prospects, customers and partners.
- Develop relationships with key partners and clients (will include travel to trade shows and key meetings) to keep our meeting calendar full.
- Create and deliver compelling presentations to prospective partners and clients to convert those meetings into sales opportunities
- Engage directly with clients and partners to drive sales with thoughtful insights and expand ZestyAI’s market presence.
- Be highly customer-oriented and able to engage with VP to C level executives.
Strategy, Market Analysis, and GTM approach (20%):
- Assist the team in developing and implementing new strategies to achieve company growth goals and objectives.
- Analyze market dynamics, customer needs, and industry trends to inform new strategic initiatives.
- Collaborate with the Director on materials for board meetings.
- Support GTM leadership in developing and executing comprehensive go-to-market strategies for new products and services, relaying findings back to GTM leadership.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, or a related field
- 2-4 years of experience in management consulting, investment banking, or strategy/BD in a startup or fast-paced environment.
- Incredibly fast learner, with a natural curiosity and hunger for new problems to solve
- Proven track record of tenacity in getting things done and delivering needle-moving results
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Customer orientation: A strong desire to deeply understand and meet customer needs
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is a requirement (particularly Excel modeling and PowerPoint presentations). Experience with CRM software and market research tools a plus.
