Job Description:
Improvix Technologies is seeking highly motivated and mission-oriented Junior ServiceNow Developers to support our customer at the US Department of State (DOS). This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with a foundational understanding of ServiceNow and a desire to grow in the ServiceNow development space. The ideal candidate will help design, configure, develop, and implement baseline and custom applications and enhancements in ServiceNow. They will also contribute to maintaining the stability of the overall platform, ensuring that design and development standards are followed.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with a technical team to develop and enhance ServiceNow applications and features in support of federal clients.
- Assist in configuring and customizing ServiceNow modules including Service Catalog, Service Portal, Incident Management, Knowledge Base, and more.
- Work independently as well as part of a team to support both internal and external customers.
- Use Agile/Scrum methodology to manage development work and ensure timely delivery.
- Participate in business analysis meetings with business, systems, and technology teams to develop requirements.
- Script Business Rules, Client Scripts, Script Includes, ACLs, Workflow Activities, and other ServiceNow components.
- Support the rollout and implementation of new applications and enhancements within ServiceNow.
- Troubleshoot and resolve system performance issues to ensure platform stability.
Preferred Skills:
- Strong familiarity with the ServiceNow suite of tools, including Service Catalog, Service Portal, Incident Management, Knowledge Base, and Reporting.
- Ability to communicate effectively with both business and technical stakeholders, showing self-awareness and adaptability.
- Problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and contribute to the team.
- Understanding of IT Service Management (ITSM), Asset and Configuration Management, and ITIL practices.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies in a project environment.
- Familiarity with the software engineering lifecycle, from requirements gathering to application implementation and support.
- Basic experience with data analysis/modeling to inform decision-making.
Preferred Certification:
- ServiceNow Developer Certification (or in progress)
