About the Role

Soracom is seeking a motivated Senior Product Manager with a passion for technology and a proven ability to deliver new services and products. This position reports directly to the CTO and involves working closely with a team of highly skilled engineers. If you are enthusiastic about building innovative services and products in a fast-growing company using emerging technologies such as Large Language Models (LLMs), Generative AI, and data warehouses for analyzing massive datasets, this is the ideal opportunity for you. This role involves working with various stakeholders within the company to drive product development forward. The ideal candidate is also passionate about meeting with customers and partners to gather feedback and understand the challenges they face in IoT development. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end product lifecycle from ideation through to launch and post-launch analysis.
• Collaborate closely with the CTO and engineering team to define product vision and roadmap.
• Work with cross-functional teams including engineering, marketing, sales, and customer support to ensure product success.
• Identify and prioritize product features based on market research, customer feedback, and business goals.
• Develop and maintain detailed product specifications and requirements.
• Drive product development by coordinating with internal and external stakeholders.
• Conduct market analysis to identify opportunities and threats.
• Ensure timely delivery of products and features while maintaining high quality standards.
• Manage and track product performance, and gather user feedback to iterate and improve the product.
• Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and with customers and partners to gather insights and promote the product.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Product Manager or similar role in a technology-driven company.
• Strong understanding of product lifecycle management and agile methodologies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a keen attention to detail.
• Self-driven and highly motivated with the ability to work independently.
• Ability to translate complex technical concepts into easy-to-understand product value propositions.
• Experience in managing and analyzing large datasets.
• Ability to handle rejection and maintain a positive attitude.

Desirable Experience and Skills

• Experience with emerging technologies such as Large Language Models (LLMs), Generative AI, and data warehouses.
• Background in IoT development and a strong understanding of the IoT ecosystem.
• Experience working in a fast-growing startup environment.
• Proven track record of launching successful products in the technology sector.
• Ability to understand and anticipate market trends and customer needs.
• Experience in meeting with customers and partners to gather feedback and requirements.
• Strong presentation skills and experience representing products at industry events and conferences.
• Competitive spirit with the ability to have fun while achieving goals.

• Master’s Degree or relevant experience preferred
• Knowledge about cloud services such as AWS and network technologies.
• Fluencies in English and Japanese
• Has previous working experience or exposure to Slack
• WFH experience

Benefits

Flexible working hours : 8 hours per day between 5am to 10pm (with 1 hour break)
