Engineering @ MediBuddy

To deliver high quality products, the Engineering team @MB has over 100+ engineers with skill sets
across Android, iOS, NodeJS, .NET, Backend, Fullstack, QA, Data Science, Data Engineers, Security,
DevOps etc.. We use microservices architecture on AWS cloud. Our Engineering teams are organized
as Pods with Weekly sprints. We have Product and Platform pods.
Tech stack includes nodejs. MSSQL, MySql, .net framework, .net core, Reactjs, Angular, Swift,
Objective C, Kotlin, Java, Redis, Elastisearch, Kafka among others
We solve a variety of user, product and business problem statements at scale under one roof, which is
very unique. We're simultaneously building
1. Digital communication stack (video, chat and call consultations with Doctors)
2. Ecommerce stack (medicine delivery)
3. Hyperlocal stack (lab tests @ Home)
4. Transactions stack (for all healthcare transactions)
5. Booking of services stack (for in clinic doctor consultations)
6. Data security, data science stack (NLP, imaging, video, audio based data problems and data
analytics)
B2B stack (for large corporates to provide healthcare to employees and large insurers to provide
healthcare services to policyholders)

Roles & Responsibilities

1. You will report to the Engineering manager, and will be part of the Engineering mid level
   Leadership team
   2. As Tech Lead, your primary Objective will be to make MediBuddy the best app/web platform
   in digital healthcare by doing following
   a. Creating and leading a team of 3-5 Engineers [backend and/or mobile]
   b. Driving engineering dev efforts in platform & product engineering pods, including
   i. Building of key features that form the backbone
   ii. Scaling the technology architecture and product to drive a 10x growth in next
   18-24 months
   iii. Driving adoption of best engineering practices in the team
   iv. Delivering high quality, scalable and maintainable code at a fast pace
   c. Helping execute product roadmap by working closely with Product and business
   teams to design the features and product experiments
   d. Conduct performance reviews, mentor and guide the team reporting to you
   3. Your work will directly impact the experience of MediBuddy’s varied users (Retail,
   Corporate, Insurance) and efficiency of Operations team at unprecedented scale
   Skills & Qualifications
   1. Academic background: B.E/B.Tech from top ranked colleges
   2. Experience:
   a. 6+ years relevant experience in consumer tech/ or SaaS space
   b. Strong Technical Background:
   i. Tech stack: Expertise in C#, NodeJS, .NET, MSSQL, MySQL, AWS
   ii. Good to have: Redis/Memcache, RDS, ECS, EBS, Cloudwatch, ELK,
   Redshift
   iii. Experience in Microservices architecture, technology modeling around
   business, ability to effectively understand business context and create
   technology solutions
   iv. Strong programming, architecture, DevOps and QA chops
   v. Experience working with a diverse engineering stack in a fast-paced
   environment
   vi. Handling of migration projects would be a big plus
   c. Past entrepreneurial experience or experience with a Unicorn is a big plus
   3. Skills:
   a. Balancing Short Term with Long Term - You have demonstrated strategic
   execution balancing short term tactical execution with long term vision. You
   should be able to adapt quickly as per the demands of the situation
   b. Efficient Execution - You must be persuasive, patient, compassionate and
   possess exquisite prioritization skills
   c. Stakeholder management - You complement product and business owners with
   finding the right solutions in a timely manner
