We are looking for a skilled Python Developer to join our Document Lifecycle team, working on the cutting-edge Intelligent Document Processing Application, DocAI. This role involves developing innovative features and maintaining our existing banking products and applications, leveraging artificial intelligence and leading technologies like Google CDE, CDS, and CDS.
Role Overview:
As a Python Developer, you will play a critical role in implementing and maintaining software solutions based on business requirements. You will optimize performance, design, and develop Python applications in line with our bank’s standard architectures. Your expertise will be invaluable in sharing knowledge with colleagues and contributing to the growth of the team. This position offers the opportunity for independent work, with the initial requirement of traveling to Frankfurt for a few days or weeks (details to be determined)

What you will be doing?

• Software Development & Maintenance: Design, develop, and maintain Python applications, ensuring they meet business needs.
• Defect Analysis & Bug Fixing: Analyze and resolve defects, ensuring the highest standards of quality and performance.
• Version Management: Prepare and release new versions of applications, managing configurations effectively.
• Code Review: Conduct thorough code reviews to maintain code quality and consistency.
• Technical Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation.
• System Component Reviews: Perform technical reviews of system components, ensuring they align with overall system architecture.
• Requirement Analysis: Analyze technical specifications and documentation to understand new business requirements.
• Code Repository Management: Manage and maintain the code repository, ensuring version control and collaborative development

Which technology & skills are important for us? 👌

• High knowledge of Python
• Good knowledge of GCP
• Good knowledge of Data Pipelines
• English at least B2 level

Additional skills:

• Basic knowledge of Google Service Document AI
• Basic knowledge of Machine Learning
• Basic knowledge of Jira, CI/CD, Bitbucket, Git, TeamCity
• Basic knowledge of Scrum

Description of the cluster:

The mission of the cluster Document Lifecycle (DL) is to enable a paperless bank. DL creates a globally consistent and complete Commerzbank archive and front-end infrastructure for document generation, scanning, electronic transport and archiving for bank and client. The cluster is responsible for a range of more than 70 applications including standard products such als Assentis DocFamily, Doxis4 and SAPERION as well as inhouse-developed software. The main platforms in use are Linux/Solaris, Windows and Mainframe (IBM z/OS).
