Job Description:
The Infrastructure Technology Project Management Office (IT PMO) functions as the independent central coordination team for ensuring that all projects and programs within the Infrastructure Technology (IT) department are well managed and that the project goals of IT projects are achieved in alignment with expectations.
 
The Sr. Project Manager (PM) reports to the PMO Staff Manager and is responsible for the successful delivery of IT projects. S(he) applies their expertise and experience to ensure that projects are managed at the goal level with quality outcomes and timely delivery, or escalating if commitments cannot be met. The Sr. PM (Consultant) is expected to not just develop and follow project plans, but to be a thought partner and provide feedback/recommendations for improvement and applying best practices. S(he) manages relationships with multiple stakeholders; assembles and manages a cross-functional team; defines implementation plans and estimates schedule, effort and cost; assess the quality of the work; manages progress, risks and problems throughout the project lifecycle; and ensures the customer's satisfaction with the final product.
 
 
 
Responsibilities include:
 
          Manage and deliver complex Infrastructure Technology projects in accordance with PMO standards
 
          Understand project goals and objectives, and ensure that projects are setup to achieve these goals
 
          Define and manage the scope, schedule, budget and plan for projects throughout the lifecycle
 
          Define communications plans and maintain excellent overall communications across the organization throughout the project
 
          Proactively identify and manage all significant issues and risks and escalate as necessary
 
          Report and communicate project status to the PM Staff Manager, Portfolio Management team, executives and other project stakeholders
 
 
 
Position Requirements:
 
          7+ years of managing multiple infrastructure technology projects
 
          Experience in consulting-type role a plus
 
          Strong interpersonal skills, demonstrating a consistent commitment and ability to work with diverse work groups and individuals
 
          Commitment to a high level of integrity, honesty, openness, willingness to accept feedback, and engage in constructive debate
 
          Strong ability to hold self and others accountable to delivering results
 
          Proven decision-making capabilities and sound judgment, objectively evaluating pros, cons, trade-offs and alternatives
 
          Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
 
          Project Management certification (e.g., PMI, Prince2) strongly preferred
 
          Experienced with Microsoft Project
