Job Summary:
The Senior Manager Inventory Management & Planning leads and develops a team of supply chain professionals delivering product supply to support strategic business objectives while balancing operational goals. The Senior Manager is a seasoned professional who provides strategic direction input to operational goal development, and who leads the team to attain these goals. The primary goal of the Network Deployment Team is to optimize the customer experience through excellent product availability while balancing product cost and optimizing operational goal attainment.
Job Expectations:
Manage the strategic operation of the Network Deployment team, providing leadership to Supply Chain professionals in the execution of work plans for both short and long term goals. Approve the developed demand and supply plans in support of strategic objectives, ensuring that the organization operates at best in class levels of service quality and productivity. Deliver required management reporting related to key metrics (KPI’s). Provide leadership to the supply chain in solving complex demand and supply problems, and work collaboratively across the organization to achieve company goals
Work closely with VP of Inventory Management & Planning, senior level Merchandising and Marketing management to establish and maintain a strategy in support of business growth and maintenance, while optimizing systems performance and working capital. Work to continually improve execution on product launches, promotions, transitions, and all other events impacting the sale of inventory to customers
Work closely with department VP, Sr. Mgrs, Operations and IT teams to develop and maintain best-in-class systems and processes to allow for business growth and operational efficiency. Actively drive system data integrity, personal accountability, and synergy throughout the Supply Chain across all policies and procedures, and ensure documentation is managed and regularly updated
Lead employees through effective hiring, orientation, training, mentoring and coaching. Provide ongoing recognition, feedback and development. Identify and mentor future organizational leaders. Manage the annual goal and performance process for the assigned Network Deployment team. Ensure appropriate resource plans are developed and executed to meet business needs. Create an environment where employee feedback facilitates positive change
Develop and deliver required presentations, along with data interpretation in support of the Network Deployment team. Deliver the ‘big picture’ answer to executive management. Drive supply chain KPI updates and metric data related to supply chain indices as assigned
Develop recommendations for business process improvements working with the VP and Sr. Leadership for group approval. Make necessary decisions to adjust for variations in projected sales caused by fluctuating volumes and other external factors

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Proven ability to provide leadership through influence.
Exceptional skills in overcoming status-quo and driving effective change – previous business process improvement/project management is desired
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to effectively communicate inter-departmentally and at various levels of management – Routine presentation to Senior Leadership is required
Excellent ability to develop and foster relationships cross-functionally. Regular interface with key stakeholders
Extensive functional knowledge of planning, forecasting and related Supply Chain methods
Team development and mentoring skills
High level of organizational and analytical skill
Ability to understand the financial impacts on long-term and complicated business scenarios, understanding of P&L desired
Equipment Knowledge:
Strong computer skills, proficient with Google Suite, Excel, Asana
Experience Requirements:
Generally requires a minimum of seven (7) years of progressive experience in Supply Chain, Inventory Management or directly related role with equivalent responsibilities.
Education Requirements:
BA/BS in Business Operations/ Supply Chain Management/ Mathematics or related field preferred, or a combination of education and equivalent work experience.
Judgment/Reasoning Ability: Able to identify, troubleshoot and resolve problems quickly using sound judgment, poise and diplomacy. Ability to use judgment and reasoning skills, and determine when to escalate issues, as required, in a timely manner.
