We are looking for a motivated, bright, and talented Environmental Engineer, Geologist, or Scientist to join our company in our Middletown, Connecticut office. An entry-level Environmental Scientist, Geologist or Engineer will assist with environmental/engineering tasks for site investigation and remediation projects. Position responsibilities will support the characterization of contaminated sites, remediation system design and operation, system monitoring, data management/tracking and reporting. Fieldwork, data management, report writing and interaction with project staff will play an important role in the candidate’s success. 

What you will be doing at Woodard & Curran:

  • Collecting samples of soil, groundwater, and other environmental media in support of site investigation and remediation objectives.
  • Installing monitoring wells, performing remediation monitoring, and overseeing contractors.
  • Assisting in the preparation of various regulatory submittals, work plans, technical memorandums, engineering calculations, and/or engineering design reports.
  • Managing, analyzing, evaluating, and interpreting data for use in reports and other visualizations including maps, charts, and 3D models.

  • Candidate should be a self-starter with a desire to perform onsite field work and possess strong technical and writing skills to support a wide range of science and engineering projects. A successful candidate will also be detail oriented, have excellent verbal communication skills combined with a positive attitude, and an ability to work both independently and across multi-disciplinary and geographical project team environments.
