Beautician

Cornerstone Assisted Living is hiring a professional contract Beautician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing beautician and barber services to residents. We are looking for someone with a bright and bubbly personality to help make a positive difference in our residents’ lives.

This is an exciting entrepreneur opportunity for an experienced Beautician to work with our residents at Cornerstone. Set your own schedule and operate your own shop. Each week see residents for wash and sets, haircuts and an occasional perm. Schedule is flexible to 1 or 2 days a week, your choice!

The operator shall be solely responsible for obtaining and maintaining all business and professional licenses required for such operation within the City of Plymouth and the State of Minnesota.  Operator will ensure that all stylists have appropriate current individuals licenses. 

Beautician/ Salon Manager responsibilities:

• Coordinate and schedule appointments for residents.
• Provide a variety of services to residents which include setting, coloring, and perming hair.
• Cut and trim women's and men's hair and beards.
• Style hair consistent with residents’ request and preference.
• Promote friendly and positive atmosphere in delivery of services.
• Collect fees for hair/ barber salon services provided to any resident, guest, or staff member. 
• Independently run and operate all aspects the business of salon operations.  
• Perform additional tasks as required.

Beautician/ Salon Manager skills and requirements:

• Must have Salon Manager license, Certification of Insurance and be able to work with residents in a memory care setting.
• Recent salon experience required.
• Ability to have essential care and styling products on hand for customer purchase.
• Previous experience in a skilled nursing facility/nursing home a plus!
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Flexible with scheduling.
