Junior Software QA Engineer (Remote)

As a Junior Software QA Engineer, you will be part of the team responsible for ensuring the quality of our software. You will be getting instructions from the Senior Software QA Engineers on how to derive scenarios from the requirements, execute test cases, report and track defects. You will be joining an expanding team and have the opportunity to grow and learn new skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Analyze provided requirements and specifications
• Create well-defined test scenarios, test cases and test data
• Create comprehensive proof of tests
• Identify, record and document defects accurately and correctly
• Perform UI, sanity, functional, regression, component and end-to-end testing

Requirements

TECHNICAL SKILLS:

• 1-2 years experience in Software Quality Assurance
• Experience of Agile software development and other software methodologies
• Hands-on experience in: Test case detailing, Test case execution and Defect tracking
• Experience in defect reporting, tracking and management
• Experience in testing web and mobile applications
• Experience working with API calls and DB operations is a plus
• Degree in computer science, information technology or relevant field a plus

NON TECHNICAL SKILLS:

• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills 
• Critical thinker and detail-oriented
• Can work under minimal supervision and committed to deliver what is required
• Drive/Passion (goal getter and self-starter)
