This great career opportunity will be a full-time floating position across Alabama Oncology.
Under direct supervision, provides administrative and clerical support for the physician and other management staff within a particular clinical location. This person oversees the patient’s experience by ensuring all documentation is acquired and available prior to each visit as well as welcoming in and ensuring all follow appointment details.
- Administering injections
- Scheduling Surgery Appointments
- Managing email and mail traffic
- Order tests and phlebotomy triage
- Completes all medical data entry and Merit-Based Incentive Payment System processing
- Responsible for ordering all oncotype testing.
- Rooms patients, ensuring their needs are met.
- Clean patient rooms, prepare for the next patient.
- Responsible for scanning all medical records.
- Creates patient packets for daily appointments.
- Creates return MD appointments.
- Return patient call (as needed).
- Obtains outside patient medical records.
- All other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent, required
- Minimum one (1) year office experience, preferably in a medical setting
