London, United Kingdom

The Role

We're looking for a versatile senior marketer with a wealth of experience who is excited about joining a fast growth startup looking to use AI technology to change the world for the better. Based in London, you'll join our Marketing & Communications team.

As part of this small and agile team you'll play a key role in the growth of Faculty’s Fellowship business. The Fellowship is an elite eight-week training programme for science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) PhD and postgraduates to build their skills and transition into an industry data science role.

Our fellowship programme runs at least three times a year and since 2014 we have trained and transitioned over 350 STEM PhD and postgrads into industry roles with leading companies such as easyJet, Deliveroo, HSBC and Google DeepMind.

Who We Are

Faculty is one of Europe’s leading applied artificial intelligence companies. We build, deploy and operate AI solutions to increase our customers’ performance and help them realise their full potential. We believe that AI should be trustworthy, impactful and beneficial across society. Those principles have shaped our work with more than 230 organisations across the public and private sectors as we help them use AI to understand more deeply, make better decisions and act faster.

To give an example, during the COVID-19 pandemic, we built the COVID-19 Early Warning System to forecast hospital admissions and life-saving equipment up to three weeks in advance. The ground-breaking tool helped frontline workers at the NHS save lives. We also work with the Home Office on Counter-Terrorisim initiatives - Faculty built an AI model that automatically detects both new and existing propaganda videos and stops them from being uploaded.

Your Responsibilities

This role is key to the success of the Faculty Fellowship. You’ll drive multiple B2B marketing campaigns to generate leads, support sales and help drive revenue. You’ll lead, manage and deliver the campaigns, working with our team of specialists to deliver content and events.

This role will suit a marketer who has experience with B2B/lead-gen, with a passion for technology. You can expect your key responsibilities to include:

  • Lead, plan, deliver and evaluate multi-channel B2B marketing campaigns for the Faculty Fellowship
  • Lead on all marketing activity within each campaign including crafting the strategy and implementation plan, devising messaging, running organic and paid social media, driving content and email marketing.
  • Demonstrate consistent growth and engagement within and across each campaign
  • Create and implement paid media campaigns across social, PPC and Google AdWords
  • Create and distribute multimedia content from videos, sales enablement content, thought leadership, blogs and longer-form whitepapers
  • Work closely with stakeholders from PR and communications, design, events and fellowship sales to deliver successful campaigns
  • Manage campaign budget, negotiating costs and deliver ROI
  • Effectively report and track campaign performance against KPIs
  • Use CRM, CMS and project management tools to work seamlessly with stakeholders and track campaign performance

Who You Are

At Faculty, your attitude and behaviour are just as important as your technical skills. We look for individuals who can support our values, foster our culture and deliver for our organisation.

We like people who combine expertise and ambition with optimism. Who are interested in changing the world for the better - and have the drive and intelligence to make it happen. If you're the right candidate for us, you probably:

  • Think scientifically, even if you're not a scientist - you test assumptions, seek evidence and are always looking for opportunities to improve the way we do things
  • Love finding new ways to solve old problems - when it comes to your work and your professional development, you don't believe in ‘good enough'. You always seek new ways to solve old challenges
  • Are pragmatic and outcome-focused - you know how to balance the big picture with the little details and know a great idea is useless if it can't be executed in the real world

Now for the practical part - to succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • 5+ years' experience
  • A passion for the power of technology to change the world
  • A full range of marketing experience, with a track record in delivering B2B/lead-gen campaigns with tangible results
  • Willingness to work in a fast paced, rapidly changing environment
  • Strong writing and creative skills, being adept at taking technical subject matter and turning this into a compelling story for a wider audience
  • Able to build internal relationships, collaborate and be a team player
  • A willingness to get stuck in and a desire to learn

What we can offer you

The Faculty team is diverse and distinctive, and we all come from different personal, professional and organisational backgrounds. We all have one thing in common: we are driven by a deep intellectual curiosity that powers us forward each day. You’ll also have the opportunity to make your mark on a high-growth start-up now poised to expand internationally.
