Job Description: - The Manufacturing Engineer Manager will direct and manage the manufacturing engineering and maintenance activities for the plant.
- The ME Manager is also be responsible for return on investment relating to facilities and equipment and overall responsibility for environmental compliance of the Plant.
Responsibilities: - Responsible for return on investments relating to the facility and equipment.
- Manages the plant capital budget.
- Solicits and negotiates bids from outside contractors.
- Directs the supervision of the maintenance and manufacturing engineering functions.
- Ensures that employees are trained and attuned to current and future GDT objectives and compliance with all mandated regulations, as well as GDT rules and regulations.
- Assists in the implementation of the "WINGS " employee suggestion program
Requirements: - Basic knowledge of mechanical and electro-mechanical systems
- Industrial engineering skills such as work measurement, labor reporting and plant layout
- Building and maintenance contracts including liability issues
- Computer skills including MS Office and AutoCAD
- Analytical analysis and problem-solving skills
Education: - A bachelor's degree in Industrial or Mechanical engineering with 5 – 10 years of experience or the equivalent combination of experience and/or education is required for this position.
